Workout music?
« on: January 26, 2012, 11:15:15 AM »
Recently started going for long runs several times a week, and I'm running out of music to play while running. Listening to Creedence just doesn't cut it when I need extra energy.

So far what I've been listening to is:
- Blue Stahli
- Flyleaf
- The Go Team
- Hadouken
- Hatebreed
- Airbourne/Motley Crue
- Random Drum & Bass remixes

Also some Lady Gaga and that crap music that slows your mind down enough to ignore the pains of running. Do not judge me.

When I'm running it's awesome to listen to The Glitch Mob, Slipknot, Three Days Grace, Skillet, Avenged Sevenfold, epic music (X-Ray dog etc.) or numetal

Lady Gaga ain't so bad :P

Honestly I enjoy listening to whatever when I jog, then again I'm not trying to push myself or anything. You could try these electronic albums, they should set the mood:
Daft Punk: Alive 2007
Deadmau5: Random Album Title
Slagsmålsklubben: Boss for Leader

Maybe you're not the biggest metalfan but I'd definitely say Meshuggah. Even though they have odd time-patterns there's always a symbal smashing in 4/4 which is great for running to a certain rhythm. Very sort of "angry" music.

Haha, Flow, when reading the topic title the first song that struck my mind was Stress, but I figured as an album, Cross has it's calmer periods, so didn't post.

When I was running it was all kinds of rocks, dating back from the 60s to even 2000s, some Israeli rock and the energy booster which was The Prodigy. I know it sounds like a lame excuse but now it's too dam cold to run. I do what I can in-doors tho which is mainly push-ups and sit-ups.

Oh cheers guys, didn't expect this many replies. Don't have time to download anything now though, my dog is getting horribly impatient, but I'll check it out tomorrow.  :)

I have enough muscle, all I need now is to lose some fat around my stomach and I'll have a pretty sweet sixpack. It's there, but not really visible unless I flex, so that's my problem.
