Play BF3 Early
« on: October 24, 2011, 03:57:20 PM »
Since BF3 has launched early in other countries, connecting via a proxy to another country such as Korea will allow you to activate and play. AFTER YOU ACTIVATE, DISCONNECT FROM THAT PROXY! AFTER YOU'VE ACTIVATED YOU DO NOT NEED TO STAY CONNECTED TO IT.

1. Launch BF3 and you should get an activation window.
2. Search Windows for "proxy"
3. Click "configure proxy server"
4. Click "LAN settings"
5. Check "use a proxy server for LAN"
6. Input this IP: 203.232.208.116
7. Input this port: 8080
8. Go back to the activation window and continue with the prompts
9. If the release date check fails, click "retry"
10. Once it succeeds, disable the proxy
11. Enjoy playing Battlefield 3!

Thanks to this video for the proxy. [noembed]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhgjIVSwRTw[/noembed]

Just finished the campaign, it looks amazing but the gameplay is boring as it gets. Will never play the campaign again in BF3 that's for sure :P. Here's the way I see it as far as COD vs BF3; COD sits BF3 down when it comes to single player, but the multiplayer in BF3 is much better than COD.

+ the graphics and sound and pretty much the overall appeal of BF3 is so much better than CoD.

Reviews weren't so positive about the campaign as well, which is a bummer but honestly nothing to worry to much about IMO. BF3 was always meant to be a multiplayer game so having a singleplayer campaign is just a nice bonus. Can't wait to pick up my copy tomorrow. :D
