fraps in SA
« on: July 07, 2005, 03:07:04 AM »
I'm getting really bad playback with fraps in SA, a frame rate of about 12-13 fps and jerky playback. I have a 2.8 GB P4 with 512 MB of RAM, and it runs SA with a good setup easily. Any ideas?

Yeah, I've been experiencing that too. All I do is just speed up the clips a little bit in WMM and they play normal.

The one you sent me

My graphics card is a 128MB 9800 radeon pro, I don't like this problem at all.

I'm going to try running the system with the bare minimum of background programs, what sort of spec is everyone else running, and can you get fraps running fine?

Mine runs ok, I have around about the same spec as you also Comaboy, which makes it odd..I guess try speeding it up a little like everyone else says ;)

Im using FRAPS, latest version on a P4, 2GHz processor with 512Mb RAM and a 128MB Radeon 9200.  The game runs and replays fine, but as soon as I hit "record" my framerate goes from 25-30 to about 8

Specs: 2.8Ghz processor, 1gig DDRAM and a kick ass 256mb ATI Radeon 9800xt.

I use FRAPS 2.6.0 and get 25fps while recording in SA (800x600) with all  the settings on high.
