Smooth Dolly Shots
« on: May 19, 2011, 06:05:39 AM »
Hi guys. Recently I've started to think about making something new in GTA:SA and I need your help.

I saw a great dolly shots in some vids like this:
Quote
[DW]Maelstrom
0:12 - 1:05.
How to make something like this?  :L I've already tried to use Camhack, but I dont see any possibilities to make those shots so smooth.

Scripting is actually pretty easy in SA. Find a tutorial and learn it, shouldn't take more than a couple hours.

You need a program called Sanny Builder 3, and a ok knowledge of .scm scripting.

Shots like that are created using scripted .scm files.

Basically, you script out a main.scm file containing camera movements you want, put it instead of the normal main.scm of SA, and start a new game. That will play out your recorded camera that you can then film using Fraps or other software.

If you guys are interested, I could write a tutorial for simple cam movement.

One of the cam intros I made (out of many):
Swagger - 7h

alot of people would love scripting, would be more appreciated if it not a .txt file ?, a video would be better, since i dont think people understond the .txt you made a while ago
