Funny bits on screen
« on: January 23, 2008, 01:10:02 PM »
Couldn't think of a more descriptive title. Basically, this happens a LOT on my screen, usually on stuff that moves.  No idea why it happens, it just does it occasionally, any solutions to this problem would be appreciated, cheers.

I only bought this one a month or two ago, brand new.  I see no reason for it to have failed, and my pc runs at about 30 degrees, not hot at all .

GFX Card problems ?
That would be my guess especially if it does this on stuff that moves. Have ya updated? Also in Control Panel>System>Advanced>Performance, the Settings tab> Visual Settings. How many of the options are checked?

Re-seat the card, if the problem persists you need to set up an RMA.

Yeah I've updated, and every single one of the options are checked.

Feron, I'll reseat it tonight when I get home, thanks.

Okay bumping this up.

Feron, I reseated the card and it didn't help anything, every time I turn my pc on its getting worse and worse.  Sometimes I can barely read stuff because there's stuff all over the screen...

"If you are experiencing 2D artifacts then it is related to bad VRAM on the card. One of my 7900 GTs (that I RMA'd) was so bad that it would artifact on POST and in BIOS."
