I think a 3rd world war would be caused by "rogue countries" who want to acquire or already have a military nuclear power (north korea, iran, pakistan,..). I don't know exactly how it would start but maybe Iran and Israel would go crazy enough to nuke each other

lack of water in some countries and "climatic refugees" would lead to conflicts in some parts of the northern hemisphere
