Ok... warning everyone not to use PowerISO's virtual drive software

My CD/DVD drive will not list anymore yet it is fully plugged in and that. It won't be recognised by my PC since it 'thinks' i got rid of it.

PowerISO's virtual drive stole the drive letter from my CD Drive (D:\) and when i uninstalled after the trial it removed D:\ ... that was my main DVD drive. I now cannot run CD's or anything else from that drive.

ANy ideas?

switching your cd drives, so your D drive is in the C drive slot thingy?

buy a new hardrive ? or use system recovery recovery drivers =] i thin...

WTF does my CD DRIVE have to do with my hard drive?

Any GOOD help?

Well, I had this problem too. But not with CD or DvD drive, but with harddrive. My G:/ drive disappeard and what I did is I unplugged all cables that I had in my PC and plug them in again(while I was unplugging, my PC was closed). And then, G:/ drive showed up with all files that I had before.

uninstall software than shut down pc.

unplug the IDE cable for the CD drive. than start it up again. then sut down windows and plug it back in.

that is the first thing i would try, it may not work but its worth a try, its a quick fix

I used Stafuck to get my CD Drive working again after I disabled it for "store bought" games lol.

Sorry for late reply, but it dissapear because of that tool for playing PS2 games on PC.

Alcohol sadly does not do .daa direct-access archive images... so i had no choice.

Try reinstalling drivers and re-activate it into the bios (simply change drive letter ) and/or hardware manager

Duno if this will work, but try going to Control panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Managent > Disk management, right click the cd drive that isnt working, click "Change drive letter and paths" and change the drive letter there.

Worth a try if you're out of options i guess...

it won't even display the drive there.
