I thought of making this topic to keep everyone up to date on new albums, since (for me) it's kinda hard to follow all the new releases. Anyone can gather and post their albums and I'll edit this post with the newly released albums.

- So yeah, post-rock at it's best. It's not really outstanding in their discography but some tracks are just brilliant, sounds really fresh.

It's fairly pointless to share your japanese music taste on gtas, I don't think there is one single person here (with the exception of me and you) who can get into it, mostly because they only care about lyrics, which is a shame because the sound is everything that matters in the end.

I've listened to it over 20 times now and i'm not even saying it's something new, thats definitely not needed to make an album good. It's just songwisely perfect in so many ways, i can't think of any reason why someone should dislike this.

Probably the best album of this year so far. It's avant-garde metal, they used a lot of instruments (violin, piano and others) but the result is almost perfect. I hate the girl vocalist though, sounds a bit like Cristina Scabbia from Lacuna Coil.

BTW NO DEATH METAL GROWLS so if you are gay and listen to gay stuff like Bon Iver or mainstream rock (Skillet, Red etc) you will really like this. :(

Unlucky in your luck, but still had the chance to see them perform. Any good live ? I don't spend a day without a listen of this album ever since I discovered them (2 months ago or so).

They were great, a few songs had skipping in them because of the faulty equipment, but there was enough stuff to enjoy nonetheless. Defo worth a watch if you like their music, make sure you see them live though, not just a DJ set. ;)

If you're a bassist you will love this, Les Claypool is as great and groovy as ever. Very funny and entertaining album overall.

The vocal melodies are really uninspired but both of the vocalists make up for it, both performances being the best of their career (imo). The technical aspect of the record is almost flawless, especially the drumming and guitarwork, both are top notch.

Metallica fans mostly don't like this and I kind of understand that because it's far off from what you would expect Metallica to release but as a Lou Reed fan you just might. Genius of his poetry is quite unusual. It sounds more like a Lou Reed album with Metallica as a backup band. Certainly it could have been different, but I think this is the kind of expression they were aiming for, liked it we or not.

'cause from what I've seen in the ads, he just speaks in a really boring voice the lyrics that a 7 year old could come up with <_< And ads are supposed to capture the highlight of the whole thing, so I don't think I'm even gonna check it out.

After all, we all have our tastes, but I am just making a point that if you're fond of Lou Reed and maybe some of his more eccentric works, set aside Metallica, you might not find this album so bad after all.

New Black Keys album, out soon. Gonna listen to it now and then write back what I thought of it. Their previous stuff was fucking amazing and really make them stood out of all those other commercial pop/rock bands that are around, due to their raw blues/rock sound. Some people thought their last album was starting to grow more commercial as well though and I have to agree with that but I still liked it nonetheless. I hope this will be more like the old ones.

Genre: Americana, Folk
Usually, Americana and Folk are not really my cup of tea, but I found myself really enjoying this album. Really has that southern hospitality feel to it and in terms of production it's also solid. Definitely worth checking out.
