[GTAS.de] PARABELLUM'S SORROW
« on: July 03, 2010, 02:08:35 AM »

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Heyho GTAS, I'm happy to finally release the third community video of gtastunting.de. It has been a really long time since our last community project, but we managed to come up with something now. I am sorry for the big delay, but it wasn't really my fault. You know who you rather blame. Also sorry that some stunts became old, but that is a part of such huge projects I think, cuz of the long editing phases.

During the editing many problems caused setbacks. Such as SentitneS & ICy dropping their work, they were supposed to edit the intro (ICy) and outro (SentitneS). So more and more work got on my back, at the end 200/250 GB of my HDD were filled up with stuff of this project. I also had some massive rendering problems, but somehow managed to get it done after MANY hours of rendering and a lot of frustration. I am really happy to finally finish this project.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well what else to say about the editing? Overall I am satisfied with the suff I did. I tried to really keep it simple this time. I can't really add such an amount of crazy effects up on a video which represents the whole german speaking community here. I noticed some specific effects made Vegas going to crash on the renderings, so I had to delete the 3D track motion I did on the transition from SnowMan's to Requiem's stunt for example. Also it was pretty annoying to render everything twice all the time to kinda fake this Windows7 look on the border's background. Could have been done on one render aswell, but it was easier this way. On the border's bottom is the town listed the current stunter comes from. Don't wonder about places like London or Sopron for example, signing up requirement was simply to speak german fluently. I hope I didn't forgot to include any stunter in the video or accidently made typing mistakes, used wrong fonts or so. If I did I am sorry for and I hope you got comprehension since it can happen easily on such big projects.

After ICy let down the intro thing, I had to find another scripter who could handle the idea. gtasearcher agreed on doing it, but I hadn't seen him for some days and kinda had time pressure, so I asked PtRvY. He agreed to and tried his best with his knowhow. It didn't turn out totally perfect, but the main things are right. Also I noticed some audio recording of Rushness was missing, but since he didn't respond on MSN and per PM I just dealed with leaving out that little one. Also the video contains lags on specific parts which occur on some effects with the setted bitrate I think. I couldn't arse me to render that whole thing over again with more to probably solve it a bit. Also it was already such a pain to upload these ~500 MB with my crappy 15kb/s upload I had. Took me around 10 hours and it would have been a lot more when I'd have used a higher bitrate. Please do not complain about these things, on such a big video many things can go wrong and these sadly did, so I am sorry for. Nothing is perfect anyway.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The intro actually is a little bit history related. The Parabellum-pistol (aka "Luger") got used in the world wars by the germans a lot. Shame I couldn't find a .dff model for SA to make it fitting it. Instead a stock pistol got used. It is supposed to symbolise some kinda apology through the video's story. Like fightig is useless and just causes shit as you'll see in this story. Anoobis also made a little parody of some well known dude of the german history with the word "raid" as you will hear.

This special Parabellum's bullet misses that aiming guy and heads along the building, what actually turns out in a quandary. I don't wanna spoil too much now, you'll see.

Gotta apologise to Xeno, I couldn't add your clothes to the player.img, otherwise SnowMan for example also would have had the cap you're using since it is the same model. So your CJ is stock and doesn't look like your Fred Durst guy lol.

There will be only a HQ version available. YouTube streaming is coming by Anoobis soon, so keep on waiting or download. I splitted the download version into 3 parts, since I didn't wanna upload ~500 MB straihly. Specially not now cuz I got a little problem with my LAN cable and probably would have had to start all over again when it crashes for once.

Download:

HQ - 1280x720p, 192kbps audio, 5mbps video, .wmv

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
