[Request] Derby hat
« on: July 05, 2008, 03:21:18 AM »
Ello, chums! Fancy any of you marvelous modelers we have here over at GTAS could make me a derby? Here's a photograph in case you might not know what a derby is.

I'd like the hat to be black and the band to be white. I'll be forever greatful to the brave knight who accepts this challenge. Cheerio!

My model & skin:

I want the hat to look pretty much like this: http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index.cfm/ID/309347

What program/tool should I use to merge it on to player9.dff?

It's a bit more complex than simply merging. It requires a buttload of work, and it's very tedious.

Zmodeler can't edit skeletons/rigging/etc. You will need 3DS Max v9.

its not all that hard, just open up the model then move the hat on to the model click on the player then click attach *use atens tut to find that* click the hat then on the modifier list click unwrap UV then (1st use photoshop or w/e to add the hat somewhere on the player.bmp) then click edit n find al the hat parts then drag them over the hats texture n the players verts over the player texture then export your model using atens tut again and your done

though im too busy myself o be able to do it now
