Fraps files converting
« on: August 10, 2007, 03:54:32 PM »
Ok, I`m making a video and I want to edit in a decent way, so I can`t use my computer for doing it.... I`m going to use my dad`s one

Here`s the problem, it`s a damn good computer and he`s afraid that I mess it up with GTA (-.-), so I`m only going to edit the video on it, but before I was going to record all the stunts in my PC and convert the fraps files into a .wmv video with a very good quality but no heavy files, so I can change all the clips for the other computer

I tried to convert it with WMM but the quality that it comes is not so good, the maximun it can get is is 2mbps with 640x480, I wanted like 1000+x700+ with 3mbps, is there any way I could do it with a simple program?

Thanks

Try using vegas, and follow Daffy's High Quality WMV rendering tutorial, it will cut the clips back a lot...10 seconds should be about 3mb that way

Your dad's right about not installing GTA on his pc.

Anyway if you can't use this vegas, try an older version or sony vegas movie studio . It's another sony program a bit easier but works like vegas.
