Anyone who still has Battlefield 2? It would be great to take GTAS to this awesome mod, it has nothing to do with the original BF2, it looks like a whole different engine somehow. The mod features the Italian and German army as the Axis and the American, British, Canadian and Commonwealth forces as the Allies. You can play in Single Player and Multiplayer, but obviously Multiplayer is the best game experience you can take. The servers are mostly for 64 players and there are a lot of maps.

Oh and you need a real BF2 copy, you can't join any server with a pirate game.

Is BF2 worth buying? I'm kind of conflicted about fps games, I don't really enjoy playing them. I did like BF3, but that was mostly because the game looked really nice (same reason I play 90% of the driving games).

Yeah if you wanna play this, it's much different to the original game. (It looks enough realistic to enjoy playing it)
Vanilla game seems über booooring for me and looks awful (unrealistic), you can buy it through Amazon if you can't find it in any shops, it just costs around 10€ (~14 USD).

Hmm... I fucking hate realism in games to be quite honest, I much prefer the old Call of Duty/Medal of Honor games that were on the ps 1, those were a fuckton of fun.

I guess I'll get some more insight on BF2 & the mod before deciding whether or not to buy it.

Also devs are already testing maps with the USSR and Finland armies, this gets interesting. I will be updating this when new stuff is released.
