HELP! Please.
« on: August 17, 2011, 08:13:25 AM »
Hello - I have problem with the "Windows cannot find ...\system32\rundll32.exe" when I attempt to open the computer calendar, as well as anything within Control Panel.  I can actually open Control Panel, but cannot open any applications within it.  I followed the suggestions above, but when I attempted the fix with the "expand d:\i386\rundll.exe_.....", nothing happens.

I cant open anything. Only what i can open is GOOGLECHROME, and WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER with some errors.
BTW, i dont want/i cant reinstall the windows.

I also tried to download the file " rundll32.exe "  and replaced it with the one in the system32 folder. But still nothing.

Any ideas?  Thanks so much for reading my plea!  I would be very grateful for ANY ideas and suggestions to fix this!

HELP, PLEASE! :(

E: I also tried to restore the system, ( START > ALL PROGRAMS > SYSTEM TOOLS > SYSTEM RESTORE.
BUT when i wanted to open the " System Restore.exe " then i got the same problem as with everything.
Cant open any .exe file, besides GOOGLE CHROME.

This probably happened because of a virus i guess :hmm: Did you scan your comp with an updated virus guard?

Happened to me once too. Try installing Avira. It worked for me even though i couldn't install other virus guards.

I'm afraid you don't have any other option but to format your windows  :cheersad: coz the virus has already done the damage.
