Storm, are you looking for a full system remake or just a few upgrades? BTW, Brandon, the 8500GT is not all that bad.. At least its DX10 Compatible..  But maybe the HD series from ATi could be a little better for the same price? That too is DX10 compatible so you won't habve to upgrade for a few years..

DX10 is also shit lol... did you hear that Microsoft is planning just to cancel DirectX 10, and just take the good features from it, and use that to optimize DirectX 9?

Basically, it's like this:

XP Pro > Vista
DX9 > DX10

And Juan knows his shit too

Dude, are you serious about the DX10 optimization for DX9? If you are, can you give me the link from where you heard it from.. I'm also planning to buy a new PC so if you could tell me, it would save me close to 600USD...

Vista is not that expensive, its only 199 for the upgrade and 299 for the oem.

Vista is just a scam for microsoft to get more money... because once you get and install vista it causes so many problems with your computer... microsoft gets more of your money while they "fix" it. :|

Heres a link of what you should do with Vista...

DUN DUN DUN!

Case
Motherboard
Video Card
Power Supply
Processor
Ram
Monitor, LCD, which you might not need, and will drop the price some.

This does not include an operating system, I assume you have one for your current.  No speakers, or mouse, or keyboard, I assume you have those too.
