Do you have an updated virus guard?
I had this too, but it was in fact a virus. The best way to check it is to open the Control + alt + delete thing and see if you have an iexplorer.exe running which is using incredibly high amount of CPU, even when you're just on your desktop with no internet open.

If you are connected to the internet wirelessly you will either have a usb wireless adaptor or a network card above or below your graphics card (will see on the back of the pc). If you have one download and update the drivers for it (create a restore point before ofc)
