Good news is with my Xbox 360, I can play on live too.

Bad news: my console is in a different room from my internet connection and I can't connect the two

Anyone know what I can do to solve this dilemma? I was kinda looking forward to multi-player GTAIV fun with the GTAS folk.

Get a longer cable to connect the rooms (1 metre ~ 0,75€)? Don't get wifi, it will ruin everything. Wifi is like the worst thing ever.
//Edit: Or get the VGA HD AV cable and connect your xbox to your pc screen (would require cable switching all the time tho), then use the pc network cable.

A link to a longer cable would be appreciated, it would be my preferred option.

Cos I ain't that wise in the technologicalisticalogy department, I wasn't sure what kind of thing to try and get and what would work. I'll look into that rj45 thing though, sounds suspiciously like KY jelly but whatever.

Exactly what those guys said. I don't know how much they'd be over in Scotland, but here in BC I bought a 15Meter ethernet cable for $18.00.
