Highest I got was 106ft, which is enough to land but I never got enough distance. I still have the rep if you would like to see it.

TMS Video Releases / [VC/SA] Merry Christms
« on: December 23, 2006, 02:45:43 PM »
This video was put together over the last few days, some guys decided to stunt on different days because plans that get in the way.

Stunters: Brainkiller, Kingjad, Explosion, Plethzorb, Tackleberry, Turtle Dick.

Editing: Brainkiller

Music: Wizzard - I wish it could be Christmas every day

Links:

High Quality - MP4 - 45mb - The Gamers Alliance (1280x720 - if your computer isn't real good then I don't recommend you download, your choice)
High Quality - WMV - 68mb The Gamers Alliance (740x480)
Low Quality - Streaming - Youtube.com

I recommend the WMV version, it's 20mb more but the quality is a lot better.
The mp4 version will likely make your computer lag because of the high res, if you downloaded that version you will need to watch it on VLC

VC Un-Modded Stunting Video Releases / Rush
« on: November 19, 2006, 02:19:31 PM »
This is a new collaboration called Rush, It was a quick project I decided to start over the weekend because I had nothing better to do.

It took like almost 48 hours, just less than that actually...

The majority of stunts where landed in that time, but this isn't a 24-48 hour video anyway

Stunters:
Brainkiller, WEREWOLF, Kingjad, Ralleee, Question, Tackleberry, Cdarmy

Editing:
Brainkiller

High Quality - Filefront | Rush
Uber super duper quality - Youtube | Rush

The video may look a little squashed(?) I recorded in 1280x720 and used Daffy's xvid/lame settings and all of the renders I made (6  ) were 200mb-350mb, so I then decided to render as wmv, so it may look a little weird. It looks normal on my widescreen monitor.

Oh, and I'm aware I put Tacklebrry's name in the credits twice  what can I say, the video was rushed

Video Editing Tutorials / High resolution 30fps
« on: November 11, 2006, 11:57:17 AM »
This is a pretty obvious thing when you think about it

Why would I want to do this?
Here are the reasons:
- Renders a perfect 30FPS stunt video
- Allows you to use Anti Aliasing - as long as you can get more than 15fps doing that (if you where recording @ 30fps it would drop a lot)
- Allows you to record at an even high resolution (a lot better quality)
I can't get 30FPS recording Vice City @ 1024x768, but now I can record 1280x720 @ 15FPS and end up with the same result as if I renederd @ 30FPS.

Does your computer lag when recording with FRAPS? drops down to around 25 or even lower making the clips slower? well...

This tutorial will help you make a smooth 30fps recording with FRAPS... sort of, here is how:

1) Set FRAPS to record at 15fps.

Be sure to split and delete the first few seconds of the clip, if you don't do this the first couple of seconds of the clip will be faster than the rest, this is because when you start recording with FRAPS it drops from 30fps to 15fps, so it's recording at higher than 15fps untill it reaches constant 15fps

This is a very helpful tutorial, hope you guys thinks so aswell

NOTE: This can be done in WMM, Video effects > Speed up double.
The only problem is the first few seconds will be faster than normal  unless you can split clips in WMM, I don't even know if you can

Summary

You can't record in high res (1024x768 or maybe  800x600) because you get less than 30FPS recording making the clip laggy, using this method you will be able to record in 1024x768 or maybe even higher, this will make you record at half the speed Vice City runs at, changing the playback rate from 1.000 to 2.000 is increasing the speed by half, meaning it is the exact same speed as if you were recording at normal speed. Making your videos perfect speed and higher quality

Happy smooth, high quality video making

TMS Video Releases / [VC] BK
« on: October 23, 2006, 06:06:49 PM »
I've been planning on putting together a best of video for a pretty long time, but I was put off by the fact I had lost some replays from my solo Destiny (Due to my computer being formatted) although I was able to retreive some of those replays because I had sent them to people to show them and they still had the reps

So 8 days ago I started recording my replays and began editing... and this is the end result.

MP4 Version [54.4mb] - TGA
MP4 Version [54.4mb] - Filefront
WMV Version [55.6mb] - Filefront
Streaming - Youtube

There is also a couple of new stunts in this video

- More links will be added ASAP.

VC Stunting Challenges / Brain's killer challenge one

Is that money support thing still going?

-

I was trying this and I've landed and skidded off the roof like 20 times now, it's getting annoying... The key is to get a load more height than what is needed to land the roof so you can land and stop quick, I keep getting sort of high ones and I land on the roof with too much pace.

So here it is.

TMS Video Releases / [VC] Invincible
« on: September 18, 2006, 08:59:14 AM »
Hey everyone, we just finished our new crew video, I know the video name has been used before   but I decided to use it anyway

Stunters:
Brainkiller
Kingjad
Turtle Dick
Kert
ExPlosion
Fugitive
Juan
Falcon
Special Guest Neo

Editing
Brainkiller

Intro
Neo, nice one buddy

Details:
Video Length: 05:37
Video Size: High Quality: 130mb, Low Quality 45mb
Main song: Underoath - Reinventing your exit
Credits song: The Kooks - Naive

HQ:
Filefactory
Rapidshare
Filefront
TGA

LQ:
Yousendit
Rapidshare
Filefactory
Youtube

Uploading was annoying as hell, I spent an hour uploading to Yousendit, only for it to say it exceeds the file size limit and I should pay for an account. So if anyone would upload the HQ to TGA then that would be a great help  (i can't cause it says some weird quote exceeded thingy)

Enjoy

Sorry I forgot to mention, sadly this is Falcon's last video for TMS... he is no longer in TMS.

Just realise the video is 3.27 Mbps, that might lag for some people when watching... if it does try with VLC and if it's still very laggy then I apologise  try LQ.

EDIT

Seeing as people (for some reason) thought the "Frame Limiter off method" was used in this video, check this out.

Just for you people who don't understand the difference between FL off stunts and FL on stunts I made a clip showing what they look like.

Putfile
Yousendit

In the clip:
First stunt: Frame limiter turned off
Second stunt: Frame Limiter turned on (Vice City's Default setting)

Did you see any stunts that looked like the first stunt in that clip in Invincible? thought not. I don't like how people suddenly presumed I used the FL off method because I done a couple of good pbs...

As you can see, FL off replays run SUPER slow and FL on reps run at normal speed.

To makes things even clearer:

Normal (FL on):
170mph (when doing a RAD)
150-165mph (when leaning forward)

Weird (FL off)
220mph (when doing a RAD)
150-165mph (when leaning forward)

Frame limiter off gives you more control meaning you can do a RAD a LOT longer than a RAD with Frame limiter on.
