I spose it depends on what editing software you used, but you can reduce your file size by playing around with the render settings.  Check out the editing tutorials for some nice settings.

As for uploading, try The Gamer's Alliance.

i bet u didnt use compressing when i saved in avi, anyway if ur gonna render a video in avi you gotta get avi codecs so that the video can be compressed, i prefere these codecs, 3ivx,Xvid, Div X.

Check out Daffy's high quality compression tutorial in the video editing tutorials section, those are very well I use them for everything I render. As for compression after rendering, click the file with right mouse button and select add to "filename".rar, where filename is the name of the file duh.

I have an issue with Daf's render settings.  Whilst they are fantastic, fraps v1.9 - which most people use - does not allow video to be captured at any higher than 480x640. A lot of people apply Daffy's settings - which render at 600x800 - without realising this and so make their video unecesssarily large and actually, in my opinion, reduce the quality.

There are actually a few really well known vids that fell into this trap.

If however you can 'aquire' a better version of fraps then Daffy's/Freakshow's settings work a gem. ;)
