Title: Is there a program for this?

Hey all

Im wondering if there is a program to performs the following function:

Conversion of a movie file into all its frames so you get folder of a stack of .jpg or whatever images each being a frame from that movie...and also a program that does the reverse (i think virtualdub may be able to but i cant remember how)

I know you can do it with Adobe Premiere. I just tried it then, it lets you convert each frame of a movie into seperate bitmaps quite easilly.

Although it does not appear to work with wmv compressed files, it works fine with avi's, mpg's, divx etc (i tested it on a few).

EDIT: Okay, i got it - a way to do it for .wmv files: Open the file in Vegas (which has no problem with wmv's) then render the vid as something else (eg. an avi file), then open that file with Premeire and it will work, i just tested it. It may lose a bit of quality, i am not sure (the test vid i used was bad quality to begin with  :P ). I assume there is probably an easier way to do this, that someone else will mention, if not, then i can give you more details :)

you can download vegas the full version for 60 day's after 60 day's I gonna buy it ;)
