Title: Fraps vs. ?

I have been told of another recorder that is BETTER than Fraps, and one that is not as good...since fraps cannot run on my computer, i was wondering if anybody knew what these other two are, and if there are any more.

The other main one is "Game Cam". Google it and you'll be able to find a download link.

I dont use it though, as FRAPS has always worked fine for me.
(I tried it once actually, but didnt like it, so i would have to say that FRAPS is much better than GameCam IMO)

yeah kaneda told me about gamecam, then theres this other one insomzane told me about that is better than fraps...but where can i download gamecam?

EDIT: i think i have the RAM and processor requirements, just not vid card

ya cause fraps records at very high rezolutions so your gonna need a decent comp

It doesnt have to record at high resolution if you dont want it to. Just have VC playing in whatever specific resolution you want your clips to be at, when recording them. If you want you can put VC down to 640*480 and then record it and your clips will be at 640*480.

Ofcourse if you wanted to record at higher res's you would need a comp that doesnt break down when doing so  :P .

Game Cam 4 life B)

Game Cam's rather strange to get working at first - but it works all the same, while Fraps doesn't.  A no-brainer, Game Cam would win it!

fraps is secretely evil, that's why :P

Whatever works best for folk, stick to it.  I use Game Cam cos it works best for me, it's personal preference really.

I'm just glad I can MAKE videos...there was a time I couldn't (PS2 SA) and I'm careful not to forgot those painful days...

Fraps gave my fwend a heaps big virus which he had to buy a whole new harddrive part cause it was infected. But i use fraps :P

That does it, i'll explain right here once and for all the ridiculous way to get Game Cam working for VC and LC - bit daft, but here goes.

To make it work when launching it from the Game Cam icon, let the game load and then go to display options.  Change the screen resolution size to anything different from what it currently is - let the change take place and Game Cam should be working, the video-box in the bottom-right and everything.  Change resolution back to what it normally was and start recording some kick-arse stunts!

It's worth all that hassle when Fraps lets you down :(
