Title: Slow roads fix
Post by: PrzemOO on March 18, 2016, 08:35:25 AM
Greetings, I've got around to fix the slow roads in SA. Just remember to post the video in the modded section if you decide to use it.  :Disgusted:

All you have to do is paste this file into your data folder in SA directory.

Modified handling.dat might cause issues, try using default one.

@NumeRo
Make sure you're replacing the right file (surfinfo.dat, not surface.dat or surfraud.dat)

In case anyone's trying that LV strip high bump to the Emerald Isle's carpark - don't bother, I've landed the helipad last night. :cheernutz: :cheernutz:

The reason you're sliding is that the wheelbase was changed to be wet, via the surfinfo.dat file.

Damn, I overshot it with a backflip  :(

Btw it's already old, shadowsniper did it in 2008, you can find it in his leaked leftover folder.

IT WAS A PRANK GUYS!!  :cheernutz: :cheernutz:

Although I've really been trying to fix the slow roads and I'm 95% sure that's not the file to look at, I've tried nearly every combination to the fucked surfaces and none really fixed the 170km/h limit on them. I'll have to look some more into the dff files, maybe there's a clue.  :hmm:

But my version is actually clean. :euro:

There's a legit workaround for slowroads, but it doesn't work for all of them. I remember at least having one released stunt that made use of it.
I might reveal it with an upcoming release this year.  :P
