Title: Free/cheap music stream app?
Post by: grescha on November 30, 2015, 04:08:50 AM
Hey all!

Been using spotify premium for the last 5 years and thought I might save a penny by going for something cheaper. I tend to listen to the same songs over and over anyway.

You guys know of any good alternatives that offer:

- Cheap (5 euros or less a month)

- No commercials

- Android app

- Good (normal?) search functions

- Decent music library, just listening to rock most of the time though.

Currently $0.99 for 3 months of premium (then $9.99 after) so I presume you could just make a new account, buy the $0.99 deal then when that runs out make another new account - crude method but all you'd have to do is just make your playlists are public and copy them to the new account. Slightly annoying but imo no other site comes close to the same service Spotify has plus that'd be 15 months of Premium for $5 :cc_detective:

https://play.spotify.com/

Made a trial account 2 years ago, still works, no ads. Dunno if it's firefox that disables something but it works on vanilla firefox regardless. Its actually better than premium spotify lol.
