hey guys, i recently discovered a hitbox on the back of the Dinka Thrust that can be locked onto for an amazing horizontal slide.
i made a short video documenting the progress of discovery and landing it.
GTA 5 - New Stunt Method - The Thrail Slide (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFxAJVZ07uk#ws)
I'm calling it the Thrail Slide (Thrust / Tail)
it was inspired by GTA V BMX stunts like the ass slide
and real skateboard tricks like the tail slide.
and, of course, BIGpoppaKEGdog for showing the world the stunting possibilities the Thrust had.
hope you guys like it. i can't wait to see what people will do with this.

That looks dope  better than that ass slide they do on bmx :3
-
thanks! lol i like the ass slides tho -_-

Wasn't this was already known? License plate grinding? Anyway, nice find :P.

i'd never seen anyone lock into it. i've seen people slide on the rear, but it's more of a shitzu slide. not locked on and not level like this.
* like this Outlaw Penguin slide people are pointing out https://youtu.be/SbR6J0I_tvc?t=296. (https://youtu.be/SbR6J0I_tvc?t=296.)
i've seen stuff like this and it's not the same. this is a variation of the shitzu slide, it just happens to slide on a rail for a second.
* the easiest way i can think of to illustrate the differences of what's going on in our tricks is by using skateboard tricks.
the "license plate" grind that is known, is a bluntslide, as seen here http://youtu.be/Uq938867BKQ?t=38 (http://youtu.be/Uq938867BKQ?t=38)
my version of a "license plate" grind, is a tailslide, as seen here http://youtu.be/1Gv2iTtYWrQ?t=29 (http://youtu.be/1Gv2iTtYWrQ?t=29)
the first slide utilizes the rear and exhaust hit box to slide, above the structure, at an angle.
my slide uses only the rear hitbox (made larger by the addition of the saddlebags) to slide over top and level with the edge.

This is different, you kinda grind with the lower part of the license plate and the bike itself. The other one requires you to adjust your bike to land on the front of your license plate
-
exactly :a-cheer:
i've had lot's of people telling me they've landed this, or similar, but none have supplied clips.
-
It's not different to what I'm talking about. As Slayer mentioned on YouTube, I found this when the Thrust came out :P. Think I've seen it elsewhere too.
-
i'm not doubting others noticed the hitbox or attempted slides. i think i'm just the first person to see it through and mine is the first viable stunt with the method that i have seen.

You're being way too picky, give the guy his props.

 it's ok, i know it's a touchy subject. world firsts ... :ninja:
some big people (i know you a giant vanilla) where encouraging me to put it out.
i figured it was like the Shitzu slide, plenty of people had accidentally gotta into the slide, but Slayer was the first to document it and control it. that's what i feel happened here.
i've actually got another new slide i've found, but i'm not sure what to do with it. i don't wanna be making claims to every trick and stepping on toes.

VaNilla's a Shih Tzu :cc_detective: You will always step on toes when you talk about world-firsts. Especially here dude...people here have been in this game 10+ years. I think if you're eager to be known for something you originate, let it shine as part of a stunt solo first. Then, ask the guys here about it. They'll be honest with you, even if it looks like they're boosting
-
thanks mate. i'll take that advice into consideration before making any brash moves.

let it shine as part of a stunt solo first.
If you're ok with taking the risk to wait, sure.

Nice find :)

Nice find :)

Fair point. Personally I'd be happier if people referenced a major work instead of an impromptu. Plus, if you're not the true originator, potentially you may still be the first to implement the technique into a solo. Anybody know if the RAD method featured in a solo first? Or word of mouth? Damn I'm out of touch :cheersad:
