Title: BlackTear - Home Is Where The Heart Is
Post by: BlackTear on November 25, 2014, 09:25:40 AM
Hey guys,
during 2014 i collected many stunts and i decided to make another solo, probably my last one. the quality of the video is not really great because i had some render problems and stuff, so just dont mind that and concentrate on the stunts please :D

in the beginning i just took some scenes of my favorite stunting movies, i hope nobody minds that aswell..

i hope you can enjoy this, my longest solo ever lol.
downloadlinks will come soon !

That

was

the

worst fucking soundtrack ever jesus fucking christ. This video could be about 1-2 german screamo songs shorter. Like the weird ass wheelie to wallride methods though thats nice.

you probably shouldn't edit your solos yourself. the unnecessary cutscenes, the deafening soundtrack and the overall godawfulness of the visuals didn't do the stunts justice. if you would sort out all these fillers and cut down the video to maybe 5 minutes, you would have an instant gtas classic right here.
anyway gj, some truly groundbreaking stuff.

Awesome stunts! However, I watched this at 2x speed, and it still felt about 4x too long. If you had cut out the fillers and reduced the video down to the single best stunts, I think you'd have one of the best solos of all time. Anyway, my favourites have to be the opener, LS clock landing, LS airport ramp to wallride to grind, SF roofs multi jump rotations to grind, that amazing wallride combo at the very end, and of course, THAT finisher :D.

Awesome - congratulations on such a fine mixture of stunts. You're like a 2014 version of Burn :) I didn't dig the soundtrack too much but the editing complemented it in my opinion! 9/10, keep rocking

One of the best solos of all time. And i don't even care about the big air stuff tbh... The tech stuff is almost on burn's level, although he will never be reached imo. Good job!

Holy fucking shit man, those wallride stunts were just porn! But you should've selected the best stuff and make a better and shorter solo. And you should've picked another editor tbh. Some cam angles were awful, the songs were boring... Could've been WAAAAY better, but a pretty solid video.

For fucks sake I sent 10:00 LS clock landing to SA crew video.......... I know it's lame to ask but please use it anyway, I spent months landing that shitty crooked tower.

The editing and song was really annoying but stunts.. jesus christ your a fucking god, I can't believe how awesome you are, so many fucking amazing stunts in one video.

Some of the most creative and stylish grinds I have ever seen. I thought the edit was pretty good actually. My only critique is you shown each stunt two times and dragged it out longer than needed. Not every single stunt needs to be shown twice. Overall I really liked this video. Sick ideas bruh...   :cc_detective:

It's a classic imo. One of my new favorite solos. I love when a stunter does something that makes me think "damn, I wish I thought of that"... godd job.

The stunts were undoubtedly fucking sick and BlackTear is insane but the video would be so much better with all the cutscene things removed and a little better composition to make the video flow more. The editing and soundtrack weren't bad it just felt a little disorganized and drawn out. I'm all down for creative expression but 16 minutes on a solo is pushing it. Either way, good job to BlackTear for some kickass stunts and putting effort into editing!

Absolutely insane stunts dude. With different music and better editing (I didn't think your editing was that bad, but these stunts deserve the best) you could have had a 10/10 video.

Your BMX skills are through the roof! Those and many other stunts were just a joy to watch.

Stunts: 4.5/5
Overall: 3/5 (vid was also way too long)

I agree but I also look at it like this; it's already edited, we seen all the stunts. Plus he put time into editing so I will accept it for what it is. Still a classic even with all of the cut scenes imo.

Longest video I've ever seen..

First of all, an absolutely amazing collection of stunts in times when people even struggle to land stunts just for crew vids! The quantity is ridiculous.

Secondly as many have mentioned, you should've done a shorter video. Take away some of the fillers and make a shorter more intensive solo and use the rest for a leftover vid would have been a better choice. The numerous cutscenes really took away the intensivity from the experience.
And I hated the choice of music which I don't think mix well with a stunting video.

The better half or third of the stunts were the bomb though. So many great ideas, fantastic executions and overall quality. Since the wallride is my own favourite stunting method, I just love some of these stunts and ideas.

I also gotta say the video feel very "BlackTearesque", you are kind of a category of your own. Hope you will keep delivering and that you bring a rocking best of in the future!

So true man. BlackTear, you belong to the few newcomers who really put efforts in stunting. All the combos were brillant and well executed. Those wallrides were epics (I remember how hard is the prefinisher since I tried myself).  I'm proud to be one of your favourites and also proud to know you. Keep it up bro.

wohoo.. HOW can you even think about talking about modding nowadays when SA-stunting is almost dead ? guys like you just ruin the last motivation to stunt in this game, seriously.. i'd rather have some more modding fags around to keep the site alive instead of inactive people who are trying to break things that are almost dead.. plus, how the hell does modding help you on a precision stunt ? this tree is easy to reach. this stunt is not modded, the replays are just fucked up sometimes, thats all..

So this is what you were talking about...
Seriously, mindblowing video packed with nothing else but killer stunts. I could not say a weak stunt in this, you really have put a big effort into this man. Every single crazy wallride stunt was just somehow new and brilliant, so were the bigairs as finishers of the separated parts. MTB stunts were awesome as well, good ideas all around. My only concern is the editing, which was too "bad" for a quality video like this. You should've gone for a simpler AND shorter video, however it would have been hard to make a few-mins long video with these stunts, almost all of them are worth a watch.
Don't remember you cv stunts but I really hope you kept something in your pocket for us, too!  :cc_detective:

In almost a decade of stunting, the only time I ever had a "fucked up" replay was when it corrupted and It wasn't able to play back. I don't see how you can get a replay that looks modded and it's simply and honestly, "Just fucked up".

I don't even really care that much, I don't even like big air roof's. The grinds were the best part of this video for me anyway. I don't like when huge modding accusations take over a video thread, but if stunts are indeed modded and the video was posted in the un-modded section, then I can see reason for it being an issue.

Replays works differently for everyone, all depends on your PC. In the past I had to use FL on and set my fps to 58 because otherwise my replays looked just stupid.

I don't even understand why are you guys giving a damn about Atlas stunt. It's one stunt, one stunt, in a solo packed with 50 stunts by BlackTear. No one gives a damn about it, just shut the fuck up and stop it.

The most creative stuff i have ever seen, nowadays we are loosing a lot of people in this forum, but sometimes new fresh people come, congratulations for your time ;)

i am not a new "fresh" guy, if thats what you are trying to say. i am stunting since 2008 or so, just because i wasnt that active doesnt mean i wasnt there lol.. thanks for the positive feedback though :b

why should i do that ? tell me one good reason  so all of you nice guys wont call me a modder anymore ? i dont give a shit about that, the real skilled people can tell that my stuff is clean without having a second look on it. no offense, but why does a guy that is more editor than stunter care that much about all of this ?

You should do that because then you give all of us nice guys an opportunity to not call you a modder anymore. According to legit stunting 1.1 topic you can get a minor warning if you don't post a requested replay. If you don't post a requested replay your video may officially be branded as a modded video.

for those people who look forward to new videos and for those who do not cry about modding at every second stunt they see, simple as that. why do you have to be so negative all of the time, are there any reallife problems you have which make you being angry on the internet ?

Publish all replays please.

1. i am too lazy to collect them,i deleted the solofolder and my user files folder is just chaotic. 2. i am not really interested in proving myself clean to the all-of-the-time haters and fags around here, some of you were just dicks to the rather unknown stunters (including me) over the years. the only way to get the kind of "respect" was being in a good crew or asslicking people to get friends in the community, true good stunts were always called modded if you weren't a well known guy.

just move it to the modded section if you want, it will only prove my thoughts right about the so called "experience" some of you guys do not have.  as i said, if you still think i am modding, i dont care about your opinion anymore.

I'm posting my replays for now 7 years and I'm still accused of modding Reynolds.

Yes, but this is not a reason why he shouldn't post his replays Burn. It is kind of expected on GTAS for you to post your reps when you are accused of modding.

Your thoughts that only real skilled people can tell if your stuff is clean is based on a fallacy in pragma-dialectics, namely the freedom rule. You are preventing people from casting doubt on your standpoint by saying only real skilled people can.

I find your stance on this matter rather weird. Firstly because you said "what does it matter if people mod, stunting is almost dead anyway.". I really hate this stance towards modding because every self-respecting clean stunter should be fiercely against modding in my opinion. People who say that everyone mods nowadays are most likely the persons that mod themselves. You invest massive amounts of time into landed a clean stunt whereas a modder can just mod things in a very short time. This should make anyone furious, because time is very valuable.

no matter how much you mod, you will not get any better in any technical stuff. and which simple bigairs nowadays are really good-looking and new ? its not like you can put some gravity changes on your game, drive over a ramp and land on high buildings.
i just like to know which stunts you think seem modded here ? every single one has a runup that needs to be done perfect (you cant mod the runup, you cant mod away roadbumps and so on). why dont you just rate the technical stuff here to get away from starting such long and senseless discussions ?

Why would you defend yourself like this if your stunts aren't modded? If I were you, I'd just ignore all. But your defending just makes people think you mod even more. btw slowitdown isn't legit

first everyone goes crazy about modding, but when i finally try to tell you i dont mod (starting to take it seriously) you say its just a reaction that shows THAT you mod :D ? if you get accused of murder, will you be sitting there saying nothing, even though you know you didnt do it ? thats maybe a bad example but the same thing somehow.
why would i take hours of writing over the years to tell you i dont mod if i actually did ?!i would have stopped stunting already.. plus its just a game. its hilarious enough we take this so serious if you think about it

I'm not saying you mod and never have. I'm just stating that you have to oblige to people if they ask for your replays. You kind of have an obligation to show you reps on GTAS, that is, if you want people to believe your video is not modded.

Indeed you cannot mod the run-up, but you can mod the bump so I don't know where you think you are going with that.

Usually you show some evidence that you are not guilty of that murder, in this case you upload your replays.

Shut the fuck up you idiots or I will seriously ban you from posting in this section (yes I can)

Move on, you are free to accuse but don't continue arguing, because it won't change anything. After all these years of modding accusing you didn't learn anything and it will always end with flamewar with 20 pages. Just move on.
