I need someone to help me with a programm we need to write. The problem we have is that it takes our program too long to find the answer. We have to write it in a recursive way (how many possible ways for a knight (the chess thing) to go from destination A to B given coordinates and length). And the maximum time it may take is 1 second. A friend and me wrote the program and it is functioning but we cannot get it under a second. As the title says it's in the C language. If you can help me out that would be nice. Just post or PM and I'll send you the code or .c file. :) Kind of need some tips of what to look into. Running out of ideas very fast.

Seriously? First year AI here. The odds of us having seen eachoter are pretty high then. Can you atleast give me some tips on this if I send you what we have so far? I am not asking you to write it, just some advice :ajaja:
EDIT://interesting developtment this is.

Just send me it and I will have a look.

Second year computer engineering reporting in. Instead of sending him the code, paste it or attach it here. I could take a look aswell

Yea Andre told me you knew C aswell. The problem has been resolved though. Thanks for the help Reynolds but in the end we didn't need it I suppose. No internet in the building of the Uni so we could not even relook what you send me :P Looking at it now you almost did the same but the most crucial thing was still kind of wrongish. Worst problem ever though. There was only like one very specific code possible so everything looks like it's cheated off of someone else. <_< Second program we had to write was a joke in comparison to rewriting that first pile of dump 40 times. If I ever need help again I'll just post the code here but I don't think I'll need it very shortly. Thank you for responding though :) Locking..
