Title: More fps, less speed?
Post by: disciplo on July 19, 2013, 05:31:17 PM
As some of you know, I upgraded my computer a few months ago, so now I have around 50-100 fps on singleplayer. Here's my problem, in almost every stunt I try, it just feels like I'm going slow as fuck, and I can't get any height which pretty much makes every stunt annoying. I'd like to know what's causing this and if there's any way to fix it? I've tried limitting my fps to 60, 80 but it's just the same. I don't have this problem on samp btw (I have 100 fps there almost all the time though).

With less fps you get the illusion of going faster because the movement is less detailed, more fps provide a more thorough animation therefore it feels like you're going slower. You're not, it just takes a while to get used to.

Samp uses the ini extender, therefore it's different.

I had a feeling it could be that, oh well I guess I'll have to get used to it then

It could be that you're not receiving every frame, maybe adaptive vsync. And obviously, make sure you're using the original data folder.

If you were going backwards in a boat half water half landscape yes you would go slower with more fps  :euro:
