Title: [Round 1 - SA] Afterlife x MexikanoS - Afterlife wins (4-0)

Actually I edited the first stunt and recorded all of them. I only need to do a intro and edit the other stunts.. When would be the last day to post it?

Post by: XTO -- on November 28, 2012, 12:46:11 PM: Both entries were nice and quite different from each other. MexikanoS did something a bit more powerful and Afterlife created something slow-paced, which fitted the stunts.

I preferred Afterlife's intro, it showed a few of the spots and landings. Fitted well to the concept of your entry. As for the main part, I enjoyed the way that both created your atmosphere. Mexikanos mixed two concepts that I truly enjoy, a powerful atmosphere with the slow-pace of a calm editing. Worked pretty well. As for Afterlife, I think that your concept fitted better the stunts, and something like that was actually what I expected from this match. Calm and dull. Quite surprising that you created something just as I expected.

Voting for Afterlife.

The color effects were nice, but there should've been a lot more synching to the various beats the song offered, I liked the way you edited the 2nd part of the 2nd stunt, but for the most part it just felt way too empty & didn't give a proper mood, the angles seemed uninspired & there just wasn't very much to accompany the mood & the pace of the song, it was pretty generic throughout.

Afterlife: Despite the rather boring intro, the main part was pretty solid, although the opener had a bit too much shake to it. I liked the way you used the motion effects to accompany the soothing pace of the song. The colors were very relaxing & fitting to the song. Despite some minor fuck ups, the angles were also quite solid & showcased the stunts quite nicely whilst enhancing the mood of the song. Overall, a simple, yet well-done entry.

Vote goes to Afterlife!

Post by: Basium on November 29, 2012, 11:56:11 AM: MexikanoS: That was an okey video, nothing special, a single repetitive effect and the CC was generic but cool somehow. The camera angles weren't nice you should have shown stunts in better angles and vary effects.

Afterlife: The intro was magnificent. The CC was 50% black and white it kinda brought my feeling's down besides that I find it really good with the effects you chose they fitted well to the video's atmosphere. The camera angles were nice but in some parts they were too close and didn't show the stunting scene clearly.

My vote goes to Afterlife

Post by: JL on December 04, 2012, 08:44:33 AM: mexikanos display of the first stunt kinda killed the rest of the video for me. too much repetition for a something ive seen quite well on the first run. props for choice of music, editing didnt catch up with it though.
afterlifes entry felt better talking about the pace, but the editing felt kinda lazy.
