Title: A good laptop
Post by: Beat on July 20, 2012, 12:49:03 PM
I'm going to university soon, I was going to originally get a high-end gaming PC but then I found out I highly need a laptop since I'll be doing tons of programming outside.

So basically I need suggestions for a laptop thats reasonably durable, doesn't have to be a tank or anything. And at the same time decent to game on, say gets around stable 30+ fps on high on BF3 and most games (excluding un-optimised ones ofcourse).

Maximum price around 850-950usd, try not to suggest HP because they send faulty laptops to Egypt and they got sued for it many many many times and no customer got shit for it.

i dont think any laptop that is less than a thousand can run BF3 on high, not sure tho, Samsung series 7 & 9 are great laptops tho, but when it comes to gaming id rather go with Asus

Alienware by Dell is really good, my best friend had one and he gave it to me as he was going away for a few months.
It runs more or less anything on it.
Seriously would recommend getting one!

Alienware desktop computers are way too expensive, however their laptop prices are fairly reasonable.

Battlefield 3 NVIDIA GT 540M (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnmR4xLRmZA#ws)
I think it's really cheap with GT540m.

Get multiple summer jobs, because if the only thing you do is visit GTAS you've got one hell of a bad case of boredom.
