Title: Computer doesn't want to start
Post by: Dimension on June 06, 2012, 09:01:38 AM
My pc got fucked up. Everytime when i want to start it, the light turns on for like 2 seconds, both ventilators rotate, and then it turns off. Could someone help me with that please? Any help is appreciated.

I have no idea but because I've experienced the same some years ago I'd say that you would want to check your power supply's state.. but I'm not a computer genius so I don't know.. just my guess..

RAM's trouble; Try to remove memory bars then reinsert them in their places or remove one and keep one or both.

Yeah, RAM's my guess aswell. If not, check if any important fan (like the CPU-fan) is rotating as it should be. If it gets overheated the PC will turn itself off automatically.

Could be dislocated HDD, try removing it, tapping it slightly from below & putting it back in.

hmm, take off processor and all cables from motherboard, them inserting everything again, and don't forget about thermal grease
for me it looks like processor problem or cable which give power to it

Open it up and check everything is connected up. Might be work unplugging stuff 1 by 1 and plugging them back in just to be sure. Happened to me when i was building my PC because one part of the cpu power connector wasent plugged in.

If you have 2 RAM's bars then remove one and turn on your computer with one bar only. Just try you won't regret.

Why don't you just buy a new HDD?

I guess it's a good thing to tell his parents that his PC is broken. He'll get a new and ofc a better one. That's my mind ofc xd

I buy myself a new computer, because its cheaper then buying anything separated, plus i dont want to install the whole operating system.
