Murmuüre - Murmuüre
I think originally it was a 2 hours long live performance, what this guy did was cutting the great parts, put them together and reworked them on his computer for 3 years. The result, an experimental audiophile lo-fi black metal album that makes OK Computer sound like the second greatest album ever. Enjoy.

I'm sure I'll disagree strongly, but I'll check it out. Thanks for sharing.

Its still impressive since its a oneman band. Amethyst is my favorite song, fucking unexplainable atmosphere.

when i read this i thought it was Baseline posting another vietnamese goregrind b...OHWAIT
-
Why you always confuse vietnamese goregrind breakbeat IDM nu-bebop WITH mongolian throat-singing plunderphonics microhouse??
-
This is the greatest.. - oh baseline made a topic :cc_detective:
I bet you don't even like that album.
-
I just posted it because it's objectively the greatest album ever created. You're not going to argue with me about a truth, are you now?
-
I'll just abandon the field, you're right. :(

Cool atmosphere.. but not the greatest album ever made.

After reading your comments, I can't help but feel this is a misunderstood album all around. Simply put and despite the shortness, this is a HUGE album. There's the obvious industrial influence a la Coil (cut up guitars, ominous synths, that esoteric feel), the black metal leanings (although I'd say on a superficial level) and a certain post-rock feel (perhaps because of the build ups and how the drums are played/where they're set in the mix?), which I feel many people look past. Then there's other aspects, such as the improvisation. But unlike say, free jazz, it feels calculated while maintaining that free-form feel. In fact, this is an album that comes and goes. You're not given set structures or riffs that repeat themselves, instead it plays out more like a piece of ambient music in terms of spontaneity. Mysterious, esoteric, distant and enchanting, Murmuüre is a bizarre creation.

Totally! It kinda seems to transcend any specific formula..
