Heyoo, PK here lads :euro:
So I'm editing a promo video for something (Off GTAS) and I want it to have this sort of beautiful blue-ish view. I created the CC and everything, but I just wanted to know how can we do those blue shades or rays like a beam?
Virtual Insanity 3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h83i6SLi66A#ws)
In 0:17 you can see that Dragun used some sort of a blue ray or shade, and I've seen it with a lot of different editors too. It's also in 1:43, except that it's red-orangish.
I know most of ya have done it, so please help.

really that hard?
optical flares....

They're called "Anamorphic Lens Flares", you should be able to achieve a basic one with a track that has a heavy horizontal gaussian blur applied to it and "add" or "screen" set as blending mode.
For more professional ones check:

If you don't have a clue of what it is, it's hard to find the name :ajaja:
BTW just saw it now, but you could simply make a comment on the video asking for it :P
