Whatever it's the point of this topic, once you were like that too, having a lot of wonders and interests, wanting with your soul to discover the secret of it. If someone came up and ask you something about it, think on your noob past and just answer, he's going to be happy as you were when you knew the answer time ago.

Yeah, pretty much agree on what Ltab said. Most people simply can't figure things out on their own, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they should remain in ignorance, they need to ask and you should help them if you want a stronger community, but then again that is a matter of your personal attitude towards other people. If you're a dick, then chances are you're act like a dick. No offense, dude, but just let'em ask.

I agree with both sides of the argument. People ask a lot about coding and stuff like that, and I'm happy to help out when I can. But I also do so hoping that person will be able to branch out on their own and discover a lot of stuff the way I had to.

I don't remember asking anyone about editing, but I did ask at gtaforums about coding. The person I was in regular contact with helped me immensely with that, so I basically adopted his approach. It's a community, after all.

I don't see anything wrong with asking, I do agree that you should figure stuff out yourself... but if you don't understand, why not asking?

Not everyone can be self thought, if people's asking gets up your ass and also that deep inside... it makes you post a rant about it then your ass probably has enough space for it. So tighten up your sphincters and when someone asks for help either help them until they're satisfied, offer them someone else's help, a tutorial or simply refuse nicely. Shitloads of options and you just can't take one.

Oh and for fucks sake mate, if you're man enough to throw a shitty rant then don't lock the topic just because you can't take your shit thrown back at you and you can't even take the slightest disagreement with your opinion. Because hell.. I'll unlock it, I didn't want to be a moderator here anymore since I wanted to leave the staff completely but I still am, so be it.

Yes we do, at least in my zone they use that sentence, pretty much mean that "new" guys must clear they doughs with "older" members of the comunity. Nobody borns with all the skills/learnings to do stuff in life. and yes, some and probably all people can get stuff by them selfs, but its always easier if someone helps him/her, and maybe someday that people can even help the person that helped them.

Enough said. :D
