Title: Origin sucks donkey balls
Post by: Rainbow on November 21, 2011, 06:04:34 AM
Yes it does. I have Battlefield 3 for PC since a few days and I have some really annoying problems with Origin. If I install it everything is fine. I can play BF3 normally. Then the next day or after a reboot Origin is starting to bitch. Launching BF3 is impossible because it is saying something along the lines of "Origin is not installed and is needed for it to run". Which freaks me out because I have to reinstall Origin again to let BF3 run. Which takes ages since I need to redownload and reinstall BF3 aswell.

I tried to register origin.exe with cmd but that didn't work. There is no problem in my registery either. Tried firefox and IE. Both didn't work.

Any tips or helps?

Steam is willing to get BF3 to be steam powered aswell.

I dislike Origin, but never had any issues with it, it's just it's platform that annoys me

Got some kind of fix. Atleast I don't have to redownload BF3 all the time. Just 5 minutes to (de)install origin everytime I want to play after a reboot. Which is something I can live with.

it'll be ported to steam at some point no doubt, then you'll have no issues <3

Can't help either since I don't have the game but Steam is ftw. Best gaming library-management-whateverthefuckitis there is. Sadly Steam didn't port some of the games yet to their platform, because then you would have no problem with anything anymore.
