Okay, got HD6950, thing's awesome, runs shit perfectly, however with VC it starts randomly lagging. I had this problem before with my old GTS250 which somehow got fixed when I reinstalled it.
The lags are pretty terrible and Fraps still says 30 fps, but it does affect my stunting. I'm not willing to try and pull the card out and put it back in again for just this, it feels like a waste of time lol.
If you know anything that might help, please leave a reply. Also if the problem does get fixed, I'll pay I dunno how many points, but it'll be a lot. *check the bank*

I waste of time is waiting for an awnser instead of just pulling out the GPU. Only takes a few minutes. Had this too, but that was fully because of fraps.
-
Gigantic sigh. I'll do it when I can be fucked to, but that's not gonna be this week.

What.
-
you see gtastunting as a minigame?
-
I see it as a hobby which is slowly becoming taken too seriously by more people.
-
well then as rainbow said, it will takes some minutes, theres no other choice.
or reinstall your vc? or lower your resolution
-
Lowering my resolution just when I got this card? Yeahhhhhh no. Reinstall the game? Yeeeaaaaaah never. Reinstall the card? When I'm bothered as fuck.
-
I got the same problem with my HD6770. My solution is enter the catalyst control center and set everything in gaming section to highest,AA and some other things for example.
-
I already tried every setting but it didn't help. I might go try again later and do it manually but I'm not having any high hopes.
e: Well shit, I think this actually helped. I owe you one. Get on MSN and we'll discuss the credits. Now it likes to be an ass and lag anyway. :/ But it could be because of the 10x draw distance I'm using. Replaced timecyc, still lagging. Changed settings, this sucks.

try to put your old card, check the settings, then do the setting same on your new card.
if theres is no fucking choice then there is your old card. :euro:

Yes, I'll check the nVidia settings and then use that on my new ATI card.
