hi guys,
a friend of mine wants to use his own car (Renault Clio) in his GTA SA so he asked me if i can manage this.
so I've downloaded the v2.0 to v1.0 downgrader and replaced all files ("scripts", "main.scm" and "gta_sa.exe") with the files which were in the download package. now i've downloaded the Renault Clio mod (which would replace the Blista Compact) and installed it with the San Andreas Mod Installer. then i've started the game but the original Blista Compact was still there. can you explain me, how to add car-mods to the game?

Renault Clio is cool

thanks for this, but it's not really helpfully for my problem. so do you know what could be my install-fail? I've done everything exactly like it was written in the readme-files but without any success

Is it the Steam version?

i used this downgrade package:
http://grandtheftauto.filefront.com/file/New_Gta_San_Andreas_downgrade_v20_to_v10;105439 (http://grandtheftauto.filefront.com/file/New_Gta_San_Andreas_downgrade_v20_to_v10;105439)
dunno whether it's the steam version, or not :ninja:
EDIT:
oh, and btw.: i have to use a no-CD-crack for his game, because he got it from me and he don't have a CD of the game. maybe it's a wrong .exe-file in the no-CD-crack. what do you think?

SAMI sucks, install it manually.
-
best way is to use imgtool or txdworkshop

okay guys, i've tried it almost the whole night (until 2:00 AM) and finally i got successes. i guess that it doesn't worked the first time, because i haven't restarted the computer after installing the mods. but i don't know it really. but I've done it with IMG-tool ;)
thanks for your answers guys :)

Anyone who have the downgrade patch can upload it to sendspace?

The problem is that you're using SAMI. It sucks ass.

I don't use SAMI. I have the original CD of GTA:SA and its v.2.0 and I need 1.0 to use Dannyes uscm.

That was directed at Izzeee, though only now I see that he fixed it.
