No! NO! How could they do that to Max.. They made him some bald tropical dude wtf.. The whole dark grim city charm is gone.. Why does every game has to be in some sunny island or something lately? :\

I don't really think you need dark colors in order to get noir crime feeling, in my opinion the dark feeling is still pretty much there :ajaja:

LOL

That haunting dark song with a Sao Paolo atmosphere don't mix. THE PRODUCERS ARE FUCKING RETARDED.

First thought that crossed my mind :P but i think that the producers did the right thing. To get the noir feeling in New york they used dark, snowy atmosphere but you can't use that in Brazil. Cuban like environment with old bars with people smoking cigars is the way. It would have made total sense if they used a different soundtrack..

I know, but then you shouldn't call the game Max Payne. Or at least have him keep his hair, they obviously try to make a whole new game here only to keep the Max Payne title so they can legitimately use bullet time combat and all that..

Yeah they should keep it exactly the same after all these years, the franchise should never innovate from its roots

You failed to understand my point, which is okay. Like I said, if you are going to create a new game, give it a new name. Don't milk it out just because its Max Payne, the story ended, so why continue with this ridiculous Sao Paulo bullcrap? Honestly, I'm all up for innovation but this is just ridiculous.

It seems you just want to disagree with me just because it's me saying it, you really need to get over yourself Paul. Just look at the facts; he doesn't look like Max Payne and it's not the same story as in the previous two games (he's suddenly in Brazil out of the blue). Doesn't really sound like Max Payne, does it?

I need to get over myself? You're the one who thinks I disagree with you just because it's you . Anyway I don't care if he looks different or if he's in a different location, we don't even have a basic understanding of the game's story yet. I think it looks cool but I think people are wrong to nitpick at this when it's just a teaser trailer, that's just my opinion.

Please stop saying "that's just my opinion" because I know it is and you don't have to find some sort of excuse or something for what you are saying. People tend to disagree on stuff, that's the nature of discussion. ;)

As for the game, we know enough from the teaser to know that he most likely "fled his history" and went to Sao Paulo just to find out the world is just as fucked up there as it is anywhere and he apparently brought another girl into trouble which he now needs to set straight. Basically, they could have created any plot they wanted and called it Max Payne 3 because the real Max Payne story ended with the 2nd game. But I guess my point is clear, so I'll try and stop falling into repetition.

That said, I don't hold any grudge against the game itself. For all I know the game will be amazing, the only thing that bothers me is they label it a Max Payne game, it feels like they just name it that to gain more cash from it and I think that's wrong. It's like people making a horribly failed sequel to an amazing movie that didn't even need a sequel to begin with.
