Hey guys, my old screen just died after 4 years and i need a new one. But, i cant decide between those two, i already chose them out of so maaaany others but now im just stuck. They are not special in any way but they're great for me, and the price is the last thing that matters, since the difference is negligible. The design is also unimportant. It'd be perfect if anyone is experienced with screens overall or has one of those two, but simple help from any of you would be very good as well, so thanks in advance :)

Acer is better on this one. :ajaja:

i like really better acer :P
-
didnt look at the spec's but acer are know for making great monitors
-
The only advantages I see on the Philips one are the DVI-D input and the touchscreen. The Acer one is at least an LED one and has some awesome contrast. Both don't seem to have a HDMI input at all. I didn't look up what they cost, but the Acer one got slightly better specs.
I'm having an Acer X223HQBbd myself and I'm pretty satisfied with it for that low price (costs below 100€ nowadays). The only thing which bugs me a tad is that the lighting seems a little unequal (fades off from the center, but isn't really noticeable) and that it also doesn't have any HDMI input.

the bigger the better
-
I didn't even have a look at the specs, but I would choose the Acer because of the thinner bezels.

One wonders how you were able to make this post without a monitor
Personally, I would just make a dang decision.

Somehow i was just waiting for such question  I'm using my mothers PC, its shit, but it has a monitor. I can't switch it to my PC because 1. its her monitor not mine and 2. it has older connection which my new PC doesnt have. I asked few real friends and 2 out of 3, that are a bit experienced with computers and screens, told me to buy the Philips one. I am confused ... and thanks for the replies so far.
By the way, what do you mean with "dang"? I am not really good at english and dictionary (not google one) doesn't include this word.

I Got the same Acer, but 18 Inch.

Actually as Andre said, maybe you would be better off looking for a different one with HDMI.

I have a Samsung SyncMaster FX2490HD and very nice picture show. but the price was too high.
