Title: What do you play
Post by: Raining on June 10, 2011, 04:16:50 AM
And the answer "isnt myself".

So, basicaly I want to know what instruments do you guys play. Do you compose? What kind of music you play? And anything else you want to post. Your gear is basicaly what everyone who checks this topic MUST know.

So, I play myself guitar, piano, bass and know basics on drums. On guitar I play basicaly classic rock (Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple etc.) and progressive rock (Pink Floyd, Yes etc.), on piano classic and jazz, and on bass that kind of stuff which I have composed. I cant describe myself stuff which I compose. I just cant put it into one genre, so some of the guys who have heard them could say for me what kind of stuff is it ^^. But I guess its kinda progressive and kinda Beatles type...

Gear (my own): Squier Stratocaster, Force amp
Gear (family): Ltd bass, electric piano (no idea what brand), Epiphone Les Paul, Roland amp, Boss GT-6, samson mic, tambourine and rhytmical egg
Also for recording: mixer, and from computer Cubase, which is awesome program if ya want to record something.

And yes, I do know there are plenty of these topics. But Im bored  :euro:

My cousin taught me how to play a guitar a bit. I learned how to play 2-3 melodies and only that. I ain't interested in this anymore.

The piano, took a few lessons, nowhere near professional quality though, I like to experiment-play, in actuality, don't know shit about things like, C Minor, F sharp ect., just experiment-play.

I've been thinking about getting a flute. (no jokes)

Never had an instrument before, even when my parents kept pushing me in that direction when I was young.

Me too, either a flute or a violin, but violins are supposedly be really hard to learn (and expensive) so I will probably end up with a flute.

I used to play the piano when I was a kiddo, not anymore and I don't remember anything excepted I know the constitution of the piano and the music theory.

Started acoustic guitar a month ago, been learning on my own since. Something like that :

Is it the same one? 'cause if you just started playing the acoustic guitar I can't believe you're already going for a Fender..

It is Puzzle, but ya know it's a low-coast fender you find pretty much in every shop. Costed around 130 euros with an accorder, 3 mediators, some more stuff and a step-by-step for beginners  :cc_detective:

Got that when I was about 11 and after that I got a black acoustic Fender aswell. My dad bought me a new amp for christmas since the old on broke so I'm now using a Peavey (Similar to what someone posted earlier).

I also play some piano so I have a keyboard in my room aswell.

I play all sorts of music but mainly rock/metal leaning to the progressive direction.

Sorry if I've misspelled anything, wrote this on my phone.

I bought for myself about month ago South-American flute. No idea how to play it, but gotta try to learn it. Does anyone of you write own stuff? I myself write very much, and record them too. I will be able to go to the studio later on this year, or maybe 2012, depends when I completely finish some ideas, and send finished demo's to that guy who is holding that studio. And completely free. Looking forward to it!
