The way to make a 'perfect' colour correction is not by using a preset. In fact the whole idea of the 'perfect' colours for a video is pretty silly. Once you've edited a video and created your overall mood with the song and everything, start building your colours based upon the mood of the video, rather than just slapping on a preset and calling it a day. What was good for one video is probably not the best thing for another. You can create presets to speed along a process, for example I use one to create a type of flare in After Effects that takes a while to set up, but it shouldn't be the end of your work.

To simplify Shadowsniper's post a preset is and should be seen as nothing but a headstart.
I agree by the way if that was unclear.
