Title: Xvid problem
Post by: Sava on November 15, 2010, 12:51:51 PM
Well yea I installed the newest version of Xvid which supports both , 32bit and 64bit.
But when I start Sony Vegas and want to choose the .avi codec , it doesn't show up.
I also can't start my Xvid en-/decorder  because following files are missing : xvid.ax & xvidvfw.dll.
I couldn't find any download link for them.
Got Win7 x64  and I tried to reboot and reinstall my PC but the problem is still there , does anybody know how to fix dat?

Use this attached file, put it in the FileIO folder in the Vegas directory as well and the folder AviPlug. just search for the filename and replace it.

as far as the xvid files, dunno : /

Lol , now i see the plugin but if i want to render , SV crashes :/

I put  the aviplug.dll in : File IO Plug-Ins -> aviplug  and  Vidcap Plug-Ins -> aviplug . :|

Is this is a problem worth solving Savatage? If you want my advice you might as well stick to h.264, Xvid isn't really used nowadays, it's not a great codec.

lol x264  , I can't even install dat.

I always get this prob ( version doesnt matter) :  x264 [error]: No input file.  Run x264--help for a list of options.    ( Theres no x264--help but nvm  :| )

Then you haven't made your avs script correctly when rendering :)
