Watched it. Was quite neat, however it lacked that special feeling that the original TOAS had, but I can understand a feeling can be hard to reproduce.
Good job on landing the stunts, though 2 things popped into my head when watching this:

You didn't land the luck BSM2Ledgegrind (Know it's probably difficult) and your format seems weird, like it's strechy somehow. You really ought to look into it.

Once again, good job and keep it up!  :)

HAHAAHAHAHHAHA, COULDN'T STOP LAUGHING AT 2:53   dunno why but was funny seeing daffy run off that boat, just so random..

Was a really cool remake except for a few flaws, those grab could have been executed better, that bsm, he bailed of the roof.. That finisher, samurai bailed it also.. And, did aenema use a rhino in his guest stunt? i remember that no.. but otherwise a cool remake.. good job  :ajaja:

I didn't like it to be honest. If you're going to remake a video like TOAS there needs to be something you can improve on or change in order to make it your own. You could have gave it some new angles, a better edit, and other things, but instead of this you lended heavily from the original editing and actually didn't pull it off with as much finesse or style. TOAS is a classic video, and it's got this mood which is unmatched even by most of the best videos released in the past couple of years. I can only think of a few videos that have a style as remarkable as TOAS had (AOA, TMS Techjam, XSA Impure, Midnight by 'The Collective', Connected, Unorthodox). Because of this, I was watching it and seeing why it was worse than original, rather than seeing it as a remake, because you didn't bring anything new to the table.

I bet you had fun making the video and it's fun to see you do it, but it really didn't translate into a good video for me :(

@Shadowsniper
I don't know what to say after you made a comparison to UnorthodoX  :hmm:. I tried to make things different, but whatever.

@everyone else
thanks

The execution on the finisher was sehr epic!
Some other stunts could've been executed better tho, overall, there's really nothing that tops the original about this one, you could've put some more effort on making it stand out, remakes don't always have to be done exactly the same way, which is most likely to turn out worse than the original, but, oh well, I guess you had fun landing those stunts & imitating the editing flow, video cinematography of the original.

I didn't, I'm just talking about videos that create similar awesome feelings to TOAS :)

For once, I agree with SS's post about the vid. You should have let someone else edit it for you. Also, a few of the stunts were performed worse then the original.

There is no sense on remaking a video with the same feeling/edit/music... But I liked that it was public :ajaja:

Classic video remake.

i saw myself in the video :O

I mainly watched the video to see if you could recreate the epic air/ground grab...teehee. nope :P

Solid video, (obviously)

I don't get the "bitching" from SS. I know you made this vid for fun and that you probably love TOAS and just wanted to recreate the stunts from the vid and you had fun doing so. Therefore, even though it's not as good as the original, it's still a nice watch just to see you doing those stunts and enjoying them. Of course it won't be as good as the original, what the fuck did anyone suspect this would be? But it's still nice to see those stunts done again in one vid and all I can say is, keep it up doing whatever you like.

Also, big lol at 2:53 when Daffy ran off the boat. :P

Bitching? Wow, don't tell me you think negativity is bitching? I just constructively laid out why I didn't like it, and how it could have been better :)

Nice remake man, sure there were some downsides to this, like some stunts not fully executed. But you also improved some, which makes it okay for me (for instance the packer2ramp2grind which Samurai failed to fully grind).

So good job on this, but really, next time improve your edit or send it to another editor  ;) Makes it more enjoyable. Still pretty nice video  :) Coulden't do some of these myself

Actually I enjoyed this one as much as the original. The tribute in the intro was a really cool idea indeed. I'm glad I could take part in this. Did Gryzlek land that p2b without rads btw?

The video was ok, the editing was good too but some angles were not too good :P . Also shame on you for not bailing the last stunt :O !

didn't have the feeling that TOAS has, but that's a classic and unique video so it can't be remade. you should've put something onnovating to the vid but whatever. Too bad you couldn't do the grab at 2:37, that's the best AG ever. anyway good work, I hope you had fun and the finisher was great

Very nice remake man, the tribute intro was a great idea.

Way out of line and totally uncalled for. This topic is about about the video, not an opportunity for you to hate on people.

Very nice! I liked the intro and how it made it feel like a true tribute. Daffy on the boat was a funny element that put a little spice to the video. ^_^

Bad angles
Messy editing
Lame executions (yeye, except for the finisher)

Basically a shitty version of TOAS, i dunno why everyone are being so nice, I personally wouldn´t call this a successful remake. It seems you could only be arsed to re-land the stunts and not try to make it as similar to the original as possible   :L

Alright little weiners, remake the video and do a better job yourself or else give the guy a break.

Great video dude, TOAS is one of my favourite videos and you did a great job remaking it.

I'm a fag and I'm rude because I think I'm awesome.

Cool video dude, wasn't putting my expectations too high because TOAS is one of my all time favorite stunt video and knew it couldn't be as good, but I was pleasantly surprised because you did a good job redoing it and keeping the "context" of the video :)

Time for my two and a half pence worth.

1) If you resisted the temptation to use RAD's method then I salute you - for a re-make of an old vid that had no RAD's method then it's important to stay true to the methods stunters used back then.

2) Anyone else disappointed at the flawless finisher? Sam's bail actually made the ending of that vid very fitting lol - IMO ya shoulda tried to bail it like he did. Hell, you probably did!

3) I look at this vid and I see it as more of a tribute than anything else towards Sam. Not sure if he's seen it or commented on it yet, as I can't be arsed going through the topic, but I'd like to think he'd appreciate people trying to recreate a vid he did a good few years ago - probably gives him a warm fuzzy feeling inside. I know I'd appreciate anyone re-creating a classic TMS vid, then moan that they did my stunts in their recreation better than I ever did in the original.

It's a solid attempt at a re-make, but I don't see it as a re-make but a tribute. Nice going. Learn to bail.
