Title: Amnesia - The Dark Descent
Post by: Simon on October 20, 2010, 03:27:45 PM: Ok so after school today I ran into a friend of my brother, 'n' we started talking about stuff. Then he told me about this game that was supposed to be the scariest game ever. Naturally I didn't really believe him. So when he got here earlier today he downloaded it for me. and I've played like 20 minutes and I'm scared as shit. I jumped when some papers blew in front of me ._.
He also told me the reviewer of the game had to take breaks every half hour of gameplay, as it was too heavy on your mind to play for a long period of time.

But anyway, has anyone played it/heard of it?
And if you like scary games you should probably give it a go.

Finished it a week or so later in a 5-hour session in a pitch-black room with my window open, so sometimes a breeze would roll in and slam the door to my room :P I'd say headphones are a must too, that zombie chase sound is the stuff of nightmares then :o I fucking jumped off a cliff and killed myself just to escape it D:

I loved this game and I would really recommend playing it even if you don't play horror/survival games normally. Just don't play it in broad daylight or with a friend.

It's made by a 3-man development team and it's 15ish euro on steam (or you can buy it from their website, there's a mac and linux version too) so don't be a bitch and pirate it.

This one on the other hand looks epic, good graphics aswell as awesome gameplay by the looks of it. I find it strange I've never heard of it before :hmm: Gonna buy it to support the developers, they deserve the money for making such a hardcore game. Can't wait to stay up all night and play it this weekend :happy:
