How will I enjoy my popcorn with all this gore?  :|

Really looks like another popcorn movie, some of the effects are just ridiculous & the teaser is just trying to show how "cool" this movie will be.

... the teaser is just trying to show how "cool" this movie will be.

Isn't that the purpose of teasers? nonetheless, I agree, they over did it, but it was to be expected from a Robert Rodiguez movie.

I remember seeing this trailer at the start of the Planet Terror and couldn't wait for it

I can never express myself properly  :|
I meant that the teaser should at least slightly reference the plot & show a bit of character development instead of just trying to be epic.

lol it's an action movie, the "plot" would be so paper thin that it would be a waste of TV time.. we watch these movies because they're epic

If you are expecting good story or something from Machete then turn around and go away  It's just pure blood and gore in style of 80's B movies, this is not a typical popcorn movie either. People go to see these movies just to see some hacking and wacking and smacking.

Oh, well, I'm not into that  :(
I don't find mindless movies attractive.

I do, but only if it has blood or sex.

Watching "non-mindless" movies gets boring after a certain time. Machete is a movie where you can turn your brain off and just simply enjoy the gorefest.

I have videogames for that. While they are full of gore & intense action they still manage to have a complex plot & character development. I have more sympathy for Gordon Freeman than most of these movie "heroes"
These kinda movies are just fail, they have much better replacements nowadays.

What he was saying is that they're there for when you just wana sit back relax and go YEAH BITCH! for no real reason.

You can't really do that with games or complex movies.

Gordon Freeman and character development  He hasn't said a word in any of the games and you don't know almost anything about him or his past. Anyways a lot of great actors and directors  started their career with movies like this for example: Peter Jackson (Braindead), Sam Raimi (The Evil Dead), Kevin Bacon (Friday the 13th) and George Clooney (Return of the Killer Tomatoes). These are just few I can remember atm.

I mentioned Freeman specifically to emphasize that I have more sympathy for poorly done game carachters than I have for senseless movie heroes.
Ok, I'll shut up now, I just don't care for these types of movies & that's my personal view on it, others might enjoy it I guess.
