Title: Best apps for editing?
Post by: Blaze on August 12, 2010, 06:05:29 PM
I've ordered my capture card for 360 and need the best apps for editing. I've got Sony Vegas Pro 9.0, After Effects CS4 and Photoshop cs3 + Pinnacle Studios. What else is a must? thanks

Delete Vegas 9 and get Vegas 8. Seriously.

Otherwise, you got everything you need.  :euro:

Well, it depends on what you actually wanna go for. Overall PS + AE is a quite good package, but for more serious animations you perhaps should use 3DsMax or Blender for example (specially for GTA related stuff). Vegas is also "just" an allround programm. For serious and really non-mainstream sick stuff you should rather go for AE overall, though it's synchronisation system sucks a bit. :P

If you want to go pro, delete vegas.
If you just want to edit GTA's video, keep vegas.

I use Sony Vegas Pro 8 + muuuuuch plugins ;D It`s best program. In the AfterEffects can do everything but is very difficult to use.. Therefore, I use Sony Vegas, although I have After Effects. When it comes to assembling your stunts, use SonyVegas, and if you want to do some animation, or use the intro AfterEffects

Everything that video-copilot has ever made.
His footage, animations, sound fx packages & textures are just incredible & can be used in any video.
Apart from that, the usual Sony Vegas, After Effects, Photoshop & Flash, probably with some cool plug-ins, like newblue, wax, spicemaster, magic bullet, trapcode, genarts nuke & a ton of other useful stuff.
