Title: Uhm... question?
Post by: Determined on July 23, 2010, 11:55:31 AM
If one was to find, without any assisting programs/modifications, in SA, a way to reduce the chance of falling of a bike by 80%, meaning, that he was only able to fall off of his own bike either by coming in contact with water, landing/driving backwards or hitting a wall too hard from mid air, would it be considered modding?

I don't want to expose this thing, for all the modders to catch up on, but I recently discovered some strange glitch in SA that does the above mentioned. But... you don't use anything else than the game, and it's different from slowitdown, 'cause it's a glitch, and as we know, stunting is made possible by glitches.
So I wanna know, would you approve of this kinda "cheating" ?
I wouldn't tbh, 'cause imo it's still modding, 'cause it gives you a huge advantage over your actions & enables you for more control over them.
I just want to know your opinion on this, and btw, yes, the method is true, I doubt that it's only a glitch on my pc, and I'm sure it's scm irrelevant.

Is it the parachute glitch? If so then yus its modding.
You could show me the glitch via pm tho :3
I dont really think it is modding because it's a glitch and stunting builds up on exploits as you mentioned, it would just cheaping stunting a bit.

No it's not modding. It's just that this so called "community" has its own declared rules of what's "legit" and undeclared rules of what's "fair".

Meaning, if you're the only one who uses mouse rads, you're a modder.

So, you say I shouldn't publish it, yet you explain it to every one who wants to know how
That's a little bias, but I guess you know better  :cc_detective:
j/k :D

If it was to be published, it'd have to be legit & shit, this is just for fun  ;)

Yes I know that but that were only 2 people I shared it with. We just try the bridge bump with it and see who gets the most height on skype :P

No, just send it to a leftover collab, you'll be fine  :cc_detective:
I don't know, some speculate that it is modding, even tho it doesn't really change anything, instead of bailing you just get ridiculously small & weird looking bumps, if you can even call them that.

Indeed, was bumping something sharp as a razor blade and was bailing almost all the time. But with this, I just got 3 ft uselss bumps and saved some time from loading. Great success.  :jajaja:
