i7 really isn't that much better than the i5 for the price difference

also it's funny cause I recently bought the same graphics card

Why didnt you buy the i5 660? Not that I know anything about it, but the specs are better and its only 5€ more  :)

anyway, nice PC, and thanks again for helping me. Gonna get an i5 processor now instead  ;)

The i5 660 is a dualcore CPU with integraded onboard video chip. Meant to be used in HTPC's and not gaming PCs ;)

And i thought a Quad Core would be more future proof  ;)

I didn't go for an i7 because it was an extra £50 and i might have had to spend a bit for on a motherboard. I went over my budget as it is so...

BUMP!

When i play a streaming video in full screen it freezes, and recently when i play video in media player... it freezes and BLUE SCREEN!.
Run the install disk and its stopped the blue screen but still freezes.
When it does this only thing i can do is restart the computer.
Just before the blue screen it said in the bottom right on the screen "AMD has recovered from a driver problem" or something like that.

Checked the website, no driver updates for windows 7

and got college work to do, would rather not send it off to be repaired or wait for a replacement.

1) How are the temperatures? (while playing for example)

2) Use the programm DriverCleaner and then do a fresh driver install (Catalyst 10.3)

^ lol

Temperature: 35-45°C
When running Gta IV: around 50°C

hmm ok, i posted the problem on a forum and thats probably the best reply i've had that seems promising, il give it a go sometime soon.

Someone said "it is more than likely a drive problem if you are running Catalyst 10.1"
why ?
how do i know what version i have ?

e/ just found out a ton of people have problems like this:
