Title: High FPS Guide
Post by: Macc on January 01, 2010, 06:05:27 AM
Hello.
Many people ask me, how I made "many FPS" on my low budget PC . I want to explain that for some persons.

1. Settings in GTA.
- Just set all settings to "low" "0" etc.
- Don't forget to turnoff the framelimiter .
- Resolution: 640x480 but you can also set the 800x600. I think there is no difference.
- AA must be 0

2. Graphic's Card settings.
   - Okay, I have Nvidia GForce 5200 FX and I've got below right side logo Nvidia. When I click right mouse button i see the list. You must find it in settings your graphic card.
I have:
- settings smoothing image: off (characterize the "under control of application")
- filtr anizotropowy (Polish): off (characterize the "under control of application")
- perfomance system: high perfomance
- Vsync: off (characterize the "under control of application")
- When you set "Vsync ON", your fps won't be more than 60.

3. In game
   - Ghosttown.
That's very good manner on more FPS. I am using the ghosttown from dannye (space+c). You can also using the "No Traffic Mod by Michu".

4. Mods.
   - s0beit.
For what? I am using it for "black sky". Save position (s0beit: /), go to shop and load position (s0beit: *). It gives me 25+ fps ;).
   - SACamHack.
For what? I am using it for "no blur". It gives me 5-10+ fps ;).
Also you can using the "No Blur mod" or "STUNTERSHEAVEN".
   - Timecyc 0,5x draw distance.
For what? It gives many fps. That's normal timecyc but add 0,5x draw distance. By radziuinblack:
http://files.filefront.com/Draw+Distanceexe/;9733812;/fileinfo.html (http://files.filefront.com/Draw+Distanceexe/;9733812;/fileinfo.html)

5. Info.
- It's weird because when T see in game green color, FPS fall -10/15 fps. I don't know why but it's stupid as hell.

Ok, thanks for reading it. I think it will help Low-Budget gamers :cheersad:.

I have normal 25-30fps, with black sky and my "tricks" 50-60 :cheernutz:

@ Udpate first post. Add new point.

Is there any other way to get this black sky thing? Like without using other tools other than dannyes...

Not that I need more FPS, but black sky sounds sexy  :euro:

Streem, yes but you have good PC. I have 800x600 and i have 40-60fps, so? Imo "FPS 40-60 LQ > FPS 15-30 HQ"

Felly: I think no, but you can change your timecyc with black sky on 0,5x draw distance ;)

btw. Agree CRYOSPHERE and better RAD.

I play with 1680x1050x32, AA X3, draw distance 0 for the fuck-ups, brightness on 2 blocks for the timecyc, and yet I get about 130 FPS.

I love my computer.

so i turned off fl on sa and it was good until i viewed a replay. it was really weird and shit so i turned it back on. i wish  i could limit it to 45. 25 is pretty low and i dont like have it go from 40-120 all the time. <_<

^ you can limit this to 60, turn Vsync in your graphic card. I'm using this but replays are fucking laggy.

Sure, FL on and say, 80fps there is a noticable difference but anywhere after 80/90 you notice no difference. This is because of the smoothness of the RADS due to FPS. However, the bikes have a top speed in the game and no matter how smooth your game is running, you cant exceed the maximum speed.

it's not very important but this gave you more fps, yesterday i uninstalled graphic card drivers (i had some errors) and when i installed this again i had orginal settings then i checked in SA and i had 60-70 fps, i changed everything on max and i had 70-90. i stunt on vsync so i don't really care about these fps anyway.

I have SA on my Macbook (I know, not something you want to stunt with in the first place) and I want the highest FPS possible.

I did the first 3 things to make it run better and it worked, but I don't know how to play in 'black sky', I think you can change it with the timecyc file but I can't find a program to change the file (not that I know how it works when I would have it, but I would give it a try.) I can't do it with sobeit because I don't have a NUM pad. To be honest I don't prefer this method either... since I have another really nice 'Trainer'/ 'Car Spawner'.
With that same program I tried 'save point'...go in shop...spawn, but then everything got black (no streets etc.) only on a little part of Doherty, so that didn't work either. :hmm:

Can someone make me a modified timecyc file where everything is 'black sky'?
If not, than maybe a download link to a program where I can change timecyc?

Or any other way to get 'black sky'?
