Title: The site
Post by: Flat Face on December 15, 2009, 11:31:40 PM
Just wanting to know how people feel about how it's going and the set up n such, before we made the move there were a LOT of arguments and accusations but they seem to have died out since we actually moved.

What are your thoughts? Are you happy? Any minor things you think we might have missed?

Well that STOP SNOWING button works fine, but only until you go to the next page/refresh the page.

Yeah, who the fuck took a piss on the snow?  :P

Anyways, it's going along nice. Good to see this community back.  :)

As for the snow not being displayed, why not just use the session for the login "save" for that too, so the snow isn't being displayed as long as you're logged in. One of the more simplier PHP codes...

Code: [Select]
if($_SESSION['stopsnow'] != '1') {
if($_GET['nosnow'] == '1') {
$_SESSION['stopsnow'] == '1';
} else {
echo "<script type="text/javascript" src="snowstorm.js"></script>";
}

Note: The code form fucks up quotes, for all quotes inside echo "" you have to use an escape, means an backslash(forums doesn't shows them :|) and then the quote.

Put that where the normal include is, should do the job.

And then just turn the "stopsnow" link into something like this:
Code: [Select]
<a href="?nosnow=1">Stop Snow</a>
Hope this is atleast useful.
