What are some of the best games on/coming out for the Xbox 360?
NO don't post GTA IV. I already know about it.
I might be getting one for xmas, so I wanna know what games I should run after with xmas cash.
-
Gears of war 2
-
GTA IV!
-
Halo 3 is a must for any xboxer lol. I'd say all Guitar Hero possibles but I know you don't like it rofl. I personally am getting RE5 when it comes out. Also .skate and The Bigs if you like baseball at all. Its a really fun game to play with a friend. FableII looks good but I'm not a real fan of RPGs, you might like it tho. Also COD4, altho I don't really like that, I admit is a good game.

I'm so getting rock band 2.
Skate looked awesome too.

hum between Rock Band 2 and GHWT I'd say go with GH. The only advantage RB had over GH was tons of DLCs and full band mode. But now GHWT have full band + tons of DLCs, and the drums are a lot more realistic and fun overall (I own both). Also, you have no idea how fun GHTunes is lol. GH is also 10 times easier, so you can play hard songs without getting frustrated

Mirrors edge.

Mirrors edge.
cant wait till the pc version

I've never seen the appeal of FPS so I won't be looking to get Halo 3. However I have been interested in either Guitar Hero or Rock Band, something a bit 'different' to play. I should also invest in Xbox Live as I have games like skate, FIFA 09 and GTAIV already but without online play it gets a bit old. I got a feeling skate would be a ton of fun with online play

EndWar is a good strategy game. It you are into RPGs then Fable 2 and Fallout 3 have just come out. As far as budget games go I would recommend Hitman Blood Money, Mass Effect or Skate (they might be a bit cheaper than the new releases)

Guitar hero was gay for robbing rock band's idea imo. >_>
-
Storm...that's like saying Pro Evolution is gay for robbing FIFA's idea, or (insert various other alternatives here - things like Sega's Sonic to Nintendo's Mario, and whatnot).
There is always going to be competition and rivals when it comes to certain gaming genres. It's the way it is, there needs to be competition. On a side note TMS ridiculed me when I mentioned I was interested in getting 'Guitar Hero', which was just mean

No, I mean, guitar hero was original. So why did they have to go and copy someone?
Doesn't matter anyway. Rockband has the lower buttons, which would be MUCH easyer for me since I find myself actually trying to do shit on a real guitar with a guitar hero controler.

Kingjad already said it, but fifa '09 kicks ass.
The reason I say that is because the xbox doesn't have any good 4 player co op games (offline). fifa is one of the only one's as you can play 4 people on the same team. Even the people who claimed to hate soccer ended up playing just because it really is a good game.
I would steer clear of halo... It's a bit overrated. Why play an FPS on a console when you can play it with a mouse and keyboard on a PC?
If you've played the first Fable you'll be disappointed with fable 2.
Fallout 3 is awesome, but single player.
Skate's pretty good. A bit frustrating if you're not willing to put time into it. (might want to wait for skate 2)
that's all i can think of.

Mirrors edge.
cant wait till the pc version
x2

Mirror's Edge is a no-go. Very disappointing results. Don't get it, unless you can get it for free.
-
Dunno what that even is, honestly. lol

It's a hate or love game. Either you hate everything abuot it or love it like it's a firstborn lol. @cody, it's basically a parkour first person platformer.
-
OH RIGHT! That. It looked pretty cool.
-
Parkour first-person...you mean like those free-run vids some people make in those first-person shooters? Or 'skate' without the skateboard lol?
-
aye to the first one.
-
Top 5 wanted list:
1. GTA IV
2. Rock Band 2 / GHWT
3. Mirror's Edge
4. Skate
5. Dunno lol
-
Ye know, I'm watching trailers and vids of this 'Mirror's Edge' game and I kind of like what I see. Only drawbacks appear to be that when ye have a gun it ain't great gameplay and it's also supposedly rather short, but that said you don't have a gun much it seems and it's still a unique game to play. Some decent reviews out there for it.
-
It is a tad old, but Assassin's Creed. I just got it a few weeks ago, and it's pretty fun. I did get a tad confused at one point and decided to restart, and turns out my perplexity was only caused by me not paying attention to training modes at all.
It's a pretty kickass game. I also though that Rainbow Six Vegas games were fun too.

Good Game gave Mirror's Edge 7.5. They usually give games an 8 or over so that's saying something. In my opinion it's just like Portal; the concept is fresh but that's all the game has going for it.
-
If 7.5 is a poor rating then that's just a weird rating system
-
For 60 bucks a pop I'm not willing to pay for an average video game. So 7.5 is a no go for me. I haven't played it but gamerevolution (http://www.gamerevolution.com) gave it a C as well and they are usually spot on.
Mirror's Edge is the kind of game that you can see in the curriculum of some design school for its outside-of-the-box approach and polished style. But playing it is a different story. If you do feel the need to punish yourself, spend your money on a dominatrix instead of Mirror’s Edge.
-
@Sweet & ppl: I've seen vids, played the demo and loved it all. Then I bought the game, finished it in 3 hours and never thought of every playing it again because it's just those levels (after completing it you can do speedruns, YAY >_>). And even in 3 hours it's annoying as hell to finish, like when she doesn't auto-grab bars or ledges when she has to and stuff like that.
-
It took me a year to beat GTA3 cause of my lazyness. I bet you it'll take me just as long for mirror's edge >_>
-
mirror's edge is a 6 hour game.

GTA 3 is a 50 hour game, and I dragged that on for a year.
