I was reorganizing my desktop, and couldn't delete two files. "7z460.exe", which is the 7zip installer, and "daemon4301-lite.exe", the Daemon Tools installer. I tried turning off read only, didn't work. I then tried using CMD, but to no avail. I then downloaded a permanent file deleting tool, which didn't work. The error was "Cannot open file C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\7z460.exe.
Can anybody help me with this :|

is it running maybe?
-
Already closed EVERY uneeded program, and I can't delete it. Going into safe mode now.
-
You just have to restart!
-
Booted up in Safe Mode, still didn't work:
-
NO exes? have you ctrl alt del and checked to makesure they arent running in processes?
-
Since its the installers there shouldn't be anything running at all. Just go into Run>msconfig>startup and check what processes are set to load on startup.

Try renaming the file you want to delete. Give it another extention, like CXCX.bmp. Then reboot and see if it will delete under it's new name.
